My mission is to inspire you to travel while balancing your 9 to 5.

Fresh into my 20’s, I grew a new curiosity for the world. I started this blog while in university after hearing people complain about how boring GTA/Toronto is and giving excuses saying they’re too busy to travel and experience their surroundings. With this blog, I will to show how amazing our city can be while I spend my weekends finding amazing hiking trails, great foods, and cute Bed & Breakfasts.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERANow in my mid-20’s, I maintain this philosophy. Right after I graduated in 2011, I landed my first full-time job in Marketing. I was working 9 to 5 and wondered if that’s all there is to it. I remember blogging away and questioning if this corporate lifestyle was for me. And then I took my first 2 week vacation to Hong Kong and Thailand. It wasn’t so hard and I came back quite refreshed.

Fast forward to 2013, I voiced similar concerns in “Work-Life Balance: Travelling the World One Step at a Time”. But I’ve finally come to terms that you don’t necessarily have to leave your 9 to 5 just to live the travellers’ dream and I’m living proof!

2014-12-28 16.43.31Introducing, “Carl”. You’ll find in many of my post I refer to “Carl”.

Carl is my boyfriend and also a self-proclaimed food connoisseur – as a super picky eater, his opinion in food can be trusted. Carl enjoys trying new foods, watching endless movies, playing volleyball and repeating everything I say just to annoy me.

We choose our travels based on this rule: “Go once a year to some place you’ve never been before.”

We wish you happy travels! – Olivia & Carl

  1. I always try to stay at a B&B when I go on a trip with my mom. We love the homey feel, great food, and antique furnishings.

  2. Never met a “Road Trip” girl before…love it! 🙂 I too really enjoy staying at B&B’s. I look forward to checking out the rest of your site. Cheers, Mike
